  The Banks Mill Road to confluence with upper section of Dog section of Mobley Creek is 0.75 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. The scenic beauty of Georgia and the playfulness of the water beats anything. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable
    for beginners. If you're coming from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There are some good
stretches to paddle in this river system, the Banks Mill Road to confluence with upper section of Dog stretch is one of them. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. There's camping available near Mobley Creek. This is an extremely short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,  
either way there are lots of good places for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you donít have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

Briefly about the general area:
There are plenty of people from Winston here at Mobley Creek. A spree to Sweetwater Creek State Park when you're here at Mobley Creek is a great idea. During the long summer days highs here at Mobley Creek reach the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and night lows through the wintertime for Mobley Creek tend to be in the 20's.
