Douglas
county,
Banks Mill Road to confluence with upper section of Dog section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II-III 0.75 miles
The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The natural beauty of Douglas County and the water flowing gracefully down Mobley Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Banks Mill Road to confluence with upper section of Dog section of Mobley Creek in Georgia is 0.75 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. This is an extremely short section so you'll
have to walk back to the start over and over. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it
is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are no other sections to paddle along Mobley Creek than the Banks Mill Road to confluence with upper section of Dog section. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more.
