  The scenic beauty of Georgia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. This section of Mossy Creek is 2.5 miles long and is a class III-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Cornelia, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch is short so better bring some good walking shoes. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less
    manageable. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The New Bridge Road to Chattahoochee River section is the only paddling section along
Mossy Creek. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people.

Through the summertime at Mossy Creek temperatures are frequently in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Mossy Creek tend to be in the 20's. The high level of rain makes Mossy Creek a quite wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is October.
