The put-in location is a short drive from Cornelia, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. This section of Mossy Creek in Habersham/Hall County is 2.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a
class III-V section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The scenic beauty of Habersham/Hall County and the cool fresh water beats anything. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Great
exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The New Bridge Road to Chattahoochee River stretch is the only paddling stretch along Mossy Creek. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
