The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Calhoun, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. The GA Route 282 to Ridgeway Park section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance
