The Road to Chatahoochee stretch of Mud Creek in Habersham/Hall County is 4 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Georgia and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. If you're coming from Cornelia it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking,
either way there are lots of good places for that around here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. This is the only paddling stretch along Mud Creek. The rivers
for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Georgia are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great plus for this river. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

wet place generally with a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is October. Throughout the summer highs here at Mud Creek get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours
of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Mud Creek dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
