Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This   section of Ogeechee River is 5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II(III) section. The Jewell to 123 bridge section is the only paddling section along Ogeechee River. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Through the months of summer at Ogeechee River temperatures are usually in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Ogeechee River temperatures fall to the 30's.
