The Highway 74 to Flint River stretch of Potato Creek in Upson County is 9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that quite a few     of the sections here are not easy. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The wonderful Upson County scenery and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Potato Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Highway 74 to Flint River section is the only one. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other places.
