CLASS II+ 0.2 miles
The put-in is not too far from Seneca, as you can see on the road map further down. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Georgia are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The scenic beauty of Georgia and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This is the only paddling section along Shoal Creek. The GA 77 to Lake Hartwell section of Shoal Creek in Hart County is 0.2 miles long and has been determined
by American Whitewater to be a class II+ section. This is a very short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping
in your car. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near.
