Sope Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Lower Roswell Road to Chattahoochee River stretch is the only one. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There's camping available near Sope Creek. Lodging is available near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Briefly about the general area: Chochran Shoals is in close proximity to Sope Creek   and is unquestionably a magnificent spot to have a look at. The high level of precipitation makes Sope Creek a pretty wet location; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month of the year is October. Summertime highs at Sope Creek generally tend to be in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Sope Creek.
