This section of Stekoa Creek is 6.75 miles long and is a class III-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Toccoa, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. You can pitch a
tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Timber Bluff Road off US Route 76 to Chattooga River stretch is one of them. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for
more. Whitewater paddling here in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great experience. The beautiful scenery of Georgia and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip.
