A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Whitewater paddling here in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great experience. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are many good hotels to choose from, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The nature scenery
of Georgia and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state
than those in other states, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. The Highway 23 to Rickman Airfield Road stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This is a very short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes.
