The Highway 23 to Rickman Airfield Road stretch of Stekoa Creek in Rabun County is 1 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. The average Georgia whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The put-in is not too far from Cornelia, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This is a very
short section so better bring some good walking shoes. There's camping available near Stekoa Creek. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. When you're paddling down a Blue
