The starting location is a reasonable drive from Cornelia, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Georgia are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a
large number of good rivers. The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The Old Highway 441 to Tallulah
Falls Lake section of Tallulah River in Rabun County is 4 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
