The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The Old Highway 441 to Tallulah Falls Lake section of Tallulah River in Rabun County is 4 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
