The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Georgia are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Cornelia, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. to be a class II-III section. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This
is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. The natural beauty of Georgia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.
Briefly about the general area: Not far from Tallulah River you locate Persimmon Point, and Worley Gap is a fine spot to spend some time. Summertime at Tallulah River arrives with high temperatures
