  The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Georgia are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Cornelia, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. This section of Tallulah River in Georgia is 4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater
    to be a class II-III section. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This
is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. The natural beauty of Georgia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.

Briefly about the general area:
Not far from Tallulah River you locate Persimmon Point, and Worley Gap is a fine spot to spend some time. Summertime at Tallulah River arrives with high temperatures
 
in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while Tallulah River overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's.
Having a fine time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is easy. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Cascade Falls. Tallulah River ordinarily gets much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
