The starting point is not too far from Cornelia, as you can see on the road map further down. The beautiful scenery of Rabun County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Georgia tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Lodging is available near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
This is an extremely short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The Lakemont to Tallulah River section is the only paddling
