The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camp stove.
Briefly about the general area: A short tour to Doogan Hole is always worthwhile, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Benton Mackaye Trail. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Toccoa
