Dade
county,
Highway 301 to Nickajack Lake section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
The nature scenery of Dade County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The average Georgia whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before
you come because it is a very popular destination. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Warren Creek doesn't
have a lot of paddling sections, the Highway 301 to Nickajack Lake section is the only one. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Chattanooga, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon.
