Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Georgia are harder than the national norm, so don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The wonderful Dade County scenery and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. Warren Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Highway 301 to     Nickajack Lake section is the only one. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: A delightful site close to Warren Creek is Punchbowl Gulf. All the water falling down from the sky makes Warren Creek a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is frequently March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is June. For the period of the warm months, highs usually are in the 80's at Warren Creek. When the night sets   in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Warren Creek.
