Idaho whitewater - Bear River, Caribou/ Bear Lake County

Caribou/ Bear Lake county, Grace Dam Bridge to Grace Power Plant section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS III-V     6 miles
The average Idaho whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The Grace Dam Bridge to Grace Power Plant stretch of Bear River in Idaho is 6 miles long and it is classified as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. The campgrounds here at Bear River are pretty good. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well.
The wonderful Caribou/ Bear Lake County scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while
are great attractions for lots of people. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good places for that around here.
