  The scenic beauty of Caribou/ Bear Lake County and the water flowing gracefully down Bear River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Grace Dam Bridge to Grace Power Plant stretch of Bear River is 6 miles long and is a class III-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Grace Dam Bridge
    to Grace Power Plant stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other
good rivers for that around here. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable.

Briefly about the general area:
At Bear River you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; July is when it's the driest. Cedar Hollow is a glorious spot to stop at nearby.

in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bear River are in the 10's.
