The scenic beauty of Idaho and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The sections for whitewater rafting     and kayaking here in Idaho are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The Highway 75 to Little Wood River stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The put-in is not too far from Twin Falls, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. Briefly about the general area: At Big Wood River you don’t see much rainfall; through January this area sees the most snow, and August meanwhile is the driest month. At Big Wood River during the summer highs   are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and night lows during the wintertime for Big Wood River tend to be in the 0's.
