The starting location is a short drive from Mountain Home, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of Boise River - South Fork is 16 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Elmore County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. The campgrounds here at Boise River - South Fork are pretty good. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camp stove.
