This section of Boundary Creek is 10 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. This is the only paddling section along Boundary Creek. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The scenic beauty of
Idaho and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers.
Briefly about the general area: At Boundary Creek you don’t see much precipitation; the
month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Through the warm days of summer at Boundary Creek highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Boundary Creek dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. The Hall Mountain Trail is a fine hiking trail next to Boundary Creek.
