The nature scenery of Idaho and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Now this is a pretty long section, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. The Indian Hot Springs to 8 miles South of Bruneau section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The put-in     is not too far from Mountain Home, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Bruneau River with night lows in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Bruneau River temperatures dip to the 20's. Near Bruneau River you stumble   on the Roberson Trail which is a good hiking trail. Bruneau River gets very little precipitation; through the month of November you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
