Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There are no other sections to paddle along Brushy Fork than the Off Elk Meadows Road to Crooked Creek section. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time
outdoors have people coming from far and near. The beauty of the Bitterroot Range is a great plus for this river. This stretch of Brushy Fork is 13 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V+ section by American Whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.
Briefly about the general area: There's nice hiking along the Lee Ridge Trail. From a rainfall point of view Brushy Fork is a relatively common site; during January this area sees the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Summer at Brushy Fork comes with high temperatures
in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Brushy Fork all through the winter usually plunge into the 10's.
