The Headwaters to Reservoir section of Clearwater River - Little North Fork is 30 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-IV(V) section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The nature scenery of Idaho and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are a few
other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other places. A
stretch of this length does require some preparations, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beautiful Clearwater Mountains scenery is an added bonus.
