The nature scenery of Idaho County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe     for beginners. The campgrounds here at Clearwater River - South Fork are pretty good. When you're paddling down a Clearwater Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: Clearwater River - South Fork is right by the Reed Bar Trail, and do take a hike on the Nellie Mountain Trail.
