The starting location is a short drive from Coeur d'Alene, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The beauty of the Bitterroot Range is a great plus for this river. The nearby hotels are a bit     away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places for that. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. The wonderful Shoshone County scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The Laverne Creek to Coeur d'Alene River section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are       often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable.
