county,
Deadwood Reservoir to End of Road section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV-V 14 miles
The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The wonderful Idaho scenery and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This section of Deadwood River in Boise County
is 14 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. Whitewater paddling here in the Salmon River Mountains is a great experience. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a
room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too.
