This section of Deep Creek is 39 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Idaho and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This is the only paddling section along Deep Creek. There's camping available near Deep Creek. Now this is a pretty long section, so it looks like you will be camping out. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The sections for whitewater rafting
and kayaking here in Idaho are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other rivers
for that.
Briefly about the general area: Deep Creek is a location that is relatively dried out commonly; November is the month that gets the most rain while July is regularly the driest month. At Deep Creek during the summertime highs are in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Deep Creek. Going for a hike on the Grasshopper Trail is always a glorious adventure.
