  The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The scenic beauty of Idaho County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. Whitewater paddling here in the Clearwater Mountains is a great experience. There are no other sections to paddle along Fish Creek than the Forest Service Road to Lochsa River section. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive
    a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. Great exercise and a chance to spend some
time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Forest Service Road to Lochsa River section of Fish Creek in Idaho County is 1.5 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater.

High temperatures at Fish Creek during the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. For the period
 
of the winter highs are in the 30's while Fish Creek overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
