The nature scenery of Idaho County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often more challenging than     in other states, so don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Hard Creek to Little Salmon confluence section is the only paddling section along Hazard Creek. When you're paddling down a Salmon River Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This is a very short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Briefly about the general area: High temperatures at Hazard Creek all through the summer are in the 90's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's,   and night lows at Hazard Creek throughout the wintertime frequently fall into the 20's. Hazard Creek is pretty arid mostly; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month.
