Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often more challenging than in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Hazard Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Hard     Creek to Little Salmon confluence section is the only one. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The beautiful scenery of Idaho and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is wonderful. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. This section is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Briefly about the general area: High temperatures at Hazard Creek all through the summertime months are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Hazard Creek.
