Owyhee
county,
Murphy Hot Springs to Bruneau River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II-V 29 miles
The scenic beauty of Owyhee County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The average Idaho whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camping stuff too. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting
and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system,
there are a few others too. The campgrounds here at Jarbidge are pretty good.
