  This stretch of Kelly Creek in Idaho is 10 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The wonderful Idaho scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Kelly Creek make the trip here worthwhile. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to
    one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your
camping stuff too. The beauty of the Bitterroot Range is a great plus for this river. There are no other stretches to paddle along Kelly Creek than the Clayton Creek to Kelly Forks Campground stretch. The campgrounds here at Kelly Creek are pretty good.

Briefly about the general area:
Summertime highs at Kelly Creek usually tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Kelly Creek tend to be in the 10's.
Kelly Creek gets very little rain; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is the month with the least moisture.
