The beauty of the Clearwater Mountains is a great plus for this river. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camp stove. The wonderful Idaho scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Lolo Creek     have people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Cottonwood Flats to Clearwater River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch of Lolo Creek in Idaho is 15 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
