The Malad Dam to confluence with Snake River section of Malad Big Wood River in Idaho is 2 miles long and is a class IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and spending some quality
time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The Malad Dam to confluence with Snake River stretch is
the only paddling stretch along Malad Big Wood River. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. This is a pretty short section so no need to bring snacks.
