Idaho whitewater - Mores Creek, Boise County Boise county, Big Gulch to Robie Creek section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-III     13 miles   This stretch of Mores Creek in Boise County is 13 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Boise City-Nampa it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The wonderful Idaho scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Not too many hotels     nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camping stuff. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. Mores Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Big Gulch to Robie Creek section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: During the summer highs here at Mores Creek reach the 90's; the overnight is a bit chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Mores Creek dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Mores Creek is in the neighborhood of Star Gulch which is   certainly worth visiting. Mores Creek gets very little precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here; July is when it's the driest.
