Idaho whitewater - Mores Creek, Boise County Boise county, Big Gulch to Robie Creek section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-III     13 miles   The Big Gulch to Robie Creek stretch of Mores Creek in Boise County is 13 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Boise City-Nampa, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Idaho scenery and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere,     so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Mores Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Big Gulch to Robie Creek section is the only one. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. The campgrounds here at Mores Creek are pretty good. Briefly about the general area: The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Mores Creek while night lows are generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Mores Creek dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.   If you crave a little side journey, try Star Gulch. Mores Creek is pretty dry ordinarily; during November this area sees the most rain while July is usually the driest month.
