This stretch of Moyie River is 20.6 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting     or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots. There are no other sections to paddle along Moyie River than the Canada border to Moyie Falls Dam section. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Hiking along the Rutledge Creek Trail is splendid fun, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Queen Mountain Trail. Moyie River is frequently a rather dried up place; the month with most of the rain is November, and July meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Moyie River all through the days of summer are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down   to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Moyie River temperatures descend to the 10's.
