The beautiful scenery of Idaho and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before     you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch of Moyie River in Boundary County is 20.6 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. Briefly about the general area: Take a hike on the Rutledge Creek Trail; hiking along the Queen Mountain Trail is great fun. High temperatures at Moyie River during the days of summer are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's.   High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Moyie River fall into the 10's. At Moyie River you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
