Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Idaho is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not     easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This section of Moyie River in Boundary County is 20.6 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. The Canada border to Moyie Falls Dam stretch is the only paddling stretch along Moyie River. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: On a magnificent day at Moyie River you can take a hike along the Rutledge Creek Trail; the Queen Mountain   Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. High temperatures at Moyie River all through the days of summer are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Moyie River. Moyie River gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
