  If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The wonderful Owyhee County scenery and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The Duck Valley to Crutcher's Crossing section of Owyhee River - East Fork in Idaho is 50 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance
    because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, perfect for a real wilderness
adventure. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too.

For the period of the months of summer here at Owyhee River - East Fork, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Owyhee River - East Fork through the winter commonly drop into the 10's.
