  This section of Panther Creek is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The natural beauty of Idaho and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby
    but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater paddling here in the Bitterroot Range is a great experience. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Some people prefer whitewater
rafting and some kayaking, either way there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip.

Not much precipitation falls here at Panther Creek; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Summertime highs at Panther Creek usually tend to be in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. in the wintertime at Panther Creek temperatures descend to the 0's.
Man, is there a heap of fun things to do in the Bitterroot Range. On a brilliant day at Panther Creek you can take a hike along the Sagebrush Lookout Trail. The Pretty Gulch Trail is a magnificent hiking trail near Panther Creek, and a great place nearby is Bear Gulch.
