The Clear Creek to Main Salmon confluence stretch of Panther Creek in Lemhi County is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section
is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Whitewater paddling here in the Bitterroot Range is a great experience. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a
large number of other rivers. The nature scenery of Lemhi County and the water flowing gracefully down Panther Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
