The beautiful scenery of Idaho and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Trapper Flat to Birch Creek stretch of Panther Creek in Idaho is 8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-V section of whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book
a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There's camping available near Panther Creek. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places for that.
When you're paddling down a Salmon River Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came.
