You might     have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful Salmon River Mountains scenery is an added bonus. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places for that. The Trapper Flat to Birch Creek section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system.
