The Trapper Flat to Birch Creek stretch of Panther Creek in unknown County is 8 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-V section. The scenic beauty of Idaho and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Trapper Flat
to Birch Creek section is one of them. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. The beautiful Salmon River Mountains scenery is an added bonus. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be
a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy.
