The beautiful scenery of Idaho and the playfulness of the water beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho are harder than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This is the only paddling stretch along Payette River. Not too many hotels     nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The beauty of the Salmon River Mountains is a great plus for this river.
