CLASS II+(III)     6 miles
The wonderful Boise County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Payette River beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Idaho is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The starting location is a short drive from Boise City-Nampa, as you can see on the road map further down. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. The campgrounds here at Payette River are pretty good. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon
trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. You might be into whitewater
rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places.
