This stretch of Payette River - Middle Fork in Idaho is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV section. The scenic beauty of Valley County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem
but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The beautiful Salmon River Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Whitewater
rafting and kayaking in Idaho is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The West Fork Bridge to upstream of Trail Creek stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system.
