The Cedar Creek to Kendrick stretch of Potlatch River in Idaho is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then     no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting location is a short drive from Moscow, as you can see on the road map further down. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good places for that around here. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The nature scenery of Idaho and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Briefly about the general area: Potlatch River is a good place of common precipitation; during December this area sees the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs regularly   are in the 80's at Potlatch River. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows at Potlatch River all through the winter mostly fall into the 20's.
