If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The starting point is not too far from Moscow, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The wild scenery of the Clearwater Mountains is great. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your     camp stove. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with not too many other spots for that. The Little Boulder Campground to Cedar Creek section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The Little Boulder Campground to Cedar Creek section of Potlatch River is 15 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-V section of whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Potlatch River gets a common   amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. For the period of the warm months here at Potlatch River, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Potlatch River.
