Idaho whitewater - Priest River, Boundary / Bonner County

Boundary / Bonner county, Headwaters to Priest Lake section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS I-IV     28.2 miles
Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camping stuff. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in
this river system, there are a few others too. The wonderful Boundary / Bonner County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people
coming here. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other places for that.
