This stretch of Salmon River - Middle Fork is 8 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are
not suitable for beginners. The Marsh Creek to Boundary Creek section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The Sawtooth Range scenery is wonderful. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. The natural beauty of Custer County and
the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. The campgrounds here at Salmon River - Middle Fork are pretty good.
