The wonderful Valley County scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a
room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Poverty Flats Campground to East Fork of South Fork section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. This section of Salmon River - South Fork is 16 miles long and is a class II-V section of whitewater
