If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This is the only paddling stretch along Selway River. The nature     scenery of Idaho County and the water flowing gracefully down Selway River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. When you're paddling down a Clearwater Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: A tremendous location to pop by in close proximity to Selway River is Twentymile Bar, and Stillman Point is a good place to check out while in the neighborhood. The amount of precipitation that falls at Selway River   is close to the national average; during January this area sees the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Clearwater Mountains. Summertime highs at Selway River ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Selway River dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
