The Last half mile before Middle Fork Boise River section of Sheep Creek is 0.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. There are no other stretches to paddle along Sheep Creek than the Last half mile before Middle Fork Boise River stretch. The put-in location is a short drive from Mountain Home, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch
is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The scenic beauty of Idaho and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are
probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.

is when you get the most snow here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime at Sheep Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's while Sheep Creek overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's.
