The beautiful scenery of Power County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Idaho you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Summertime highs at Snake River typically tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Snake River temperatures dip to the 10's. Snake River is a location that is reasonably waterless typically; May is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
