The beautiful scenery of Power County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Idaho you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Snake River typically tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Snake River temperatures dip to the 10's. Snake River is a location that is reasonably waterless typically; May is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
