American Falls to Lake Walcott section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS I-III 32.7 miles
The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. The American Falls to Lake Walcott stretch of Snake River is 32.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-III section. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive
a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. Snake River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the American Falls
to Lake Walcott section is the only one.
