The wonderful Twin Falls/ Jerome County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. If you're coming from Twin Falls it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a
pretty small number of paddling rivers. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your sleeping bag. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but
you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Murtaugh Bridge to Twin Falls Reservoir stretch of Snake River in Idaho is 13 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
