The natural beauty of Shoshone County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. This stretch of St. Joe River is 7 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want
to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful Bitterroot Range scenery is an added bonus. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Conrad Crossing Campground to Bluff Creek Bridge section
is one of many paddling sections in this river system. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.

duration of the summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at St. Joe River with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at St. Joe River are in the 20's. A normal amount of rain falls here at St. Joe River; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is typically the driest month.
